
International Year One (UTP II) Business Administration
Overview
Take the first step toward a career in business through WLIC’s BBA pathway. You’ll gain a solid foundation in economics, accounting, math, and communication while studying in a supportive environment with smaller class sizes.
After completing your pathway, you’ll transfer into Year 2 of Laurier’s Honours BBA program at the Lazaridis School of Business & Economics — an internationally accredited business school (AACSB) and one of Canada’s top business schools, home to the country’s largest business co-op program.

Your pathway to Laurier
At WLIC, you will complete your first-year requirements before progressing to Year 2 of Laurier’s Honours BBA. Once at Laurier, you’ll have the opportunity to gain up to 16 months of paid co-op experience and apply your learning directly to real-world business challenges.
Progression into Laurier’s BBA is competitive entry. Students must meet the minimum GPA requirements, and those with the highest marks will be admitted into the limited number of spaces.
If you complete the pathway but are not admitted into the BBA, you will still be eligible to pursue other outstanding Laurier programs, including:

- Honours Economics and Financial Management

Bachelor of Business Administration Progression Requirements
To move from WLIC into Year 2 of Laurier’s Honours BBA, you’ll need to meet the following:
- Minimum GPA of 7.00 (B-) in all BU (business) courses
- Minimum GPA of 5.00 (C) in all non-BU courses
- Completion of all required UTP courses: BU111, BU121, BU127, EC120, EC140, MA103, EN190
